The other day, we could have a ceremony of the completion of the framework of this building at construction site in Hida-Takayama.
宮大工の技術が結集され凄いことになっています．なんと今時珍しく，コンクリート基礎と土台の緊結部分以外は一切金物は使用していません．柱・梁・小屋組の接合は，ボルトなどの金属接合ではなくすべてホゾ等の伝統的な接合方法によって組まれています．
We could see so many fantastic techniques by Miyadaiku (specialists in construction of shrines and temples) . What an amazing point is, they didn't use metal joint except connection between concrete foundations and wooden foundations. Joint parts of pillars/ beams/ roof frames are not connected by metals but traditional wooden joint techniques like tenon and mortise.
難易度の高い部材と部材の取り合い部分も，寸分の狂いもなく，ピッタリと納まっています．この芸術と言うべき職人技には本当に感動しました．
These connection parts seems so difficult are also placed exactly. It makes us really deep impressions.
上質な木材と宮大工の技術により，100～200年くらいはもつ建物になるのではないかという話です．棟梁も金物を使わない仕事は久しぶりだと言っていました．
Due to magnificent materials and techniques, this building might have a long life 100-200 years in the future. The master carpenter told that he didn't have such non metal joint building work recently.
今年もピンクのモクレンの花が咲きました．竣工まで一ヶ月，とても楽しみです．
The pink flowers of magnolia bloomed this year, too. We cannot wait for the completion of this building in one month.
